The inn stands on the shore of a lake, which is covered with splashing waves on windy days. The name "RERA" (meaning "wind" in Ainu) comes from the fact that nothing obstructs the inn and strong winds blow against it. The view from the bedroom windows and from the windows of the indoor baths could not be more beautiful. Canoes and kayaks can be launched from the small sandy beach next to RERA, and when the lake is not frozen over, you can enjoy the view from the lake and trout fishing at any time of the year. FURE (meaning "red" in Ainu), named after the place Akayu, is a two-story inn with two bedrooms and a Japanese-style room space. The magnificent Lake Kussharo spreads out before your eyes, and from spring to fall you can go fishing by canoe or kayak, and in winter you can play in the snow with snowshoes. If you open the window of the bathroom, where the spring water is poured 24 hours a day, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains surrounding the beautiful lake and the floating island in the middle of the lake. Both the western-style and Japanese-style rooms have a bath where water flows directly from the hot spring, providing the luxury of fresh hot water at any time of the day. You will realize that you are embraced by nature when you have a view of the beautifully shining lake through the trees from the bedroom, living room, and from the bathroom.

The boathouse houses four boats, three canoes, and four kayaks, and is packed with electric bicycles for rent and fishing equipment. The space next to the boatyard and the second floor are used as a café, where you can enjoy coffee ground from carefully selected beans while admiring the beautiful scenery of Lake Kussharo. Original sweets are also available for an elegant time.
